Practical training and exercises in Pyhäjärvi’s Callio business area
Arrival and reception of course participants Mainarintie 2, main gate
General safety instructions:
Moving in underground spaces, interpreting markings, learning the area and spaces, alternative routes and navigation
Practical exercises in the training area:
- H1 – Personal injury/illness case and rescue from an underground space
- H2 – Challenging crash scene and tight spot working and rescue
- H3 – Chemical leak or fire, e.g. oil/fuel/gas leak and small tank transport accident, inspection of condition and fastenings
- H4 – Testing/condition monitoring of fire extinguishing and evacuation devices in practice, types of fire extinguishers and correct use of the fire extinguisher
- H5 – Vehicle accident or fire, rescuing a person from a vehicle, e.g. from the cabin of a mining vehicle and the correct use of a ladder
- H6 – Shaft rescue, falling of a person and rescue from a height
Group size 10 – 16 persons

General safety instructions:
Moving in underground spaces, interpreting markings, learning the area and spaces, alternative routes and navigation.
Practical exercises in the training area:
- H1 – Operation in the event of an accident at an industrial site (concentration plant)
- H2 – Challenging work at a high place, different harness models and their correct use, selection and use of fall protection
- H3 – Use of respirators, oxygen equipment and compressed air equipment
- H4 – Smoke diving in artificial smoke and practicing challenging work (using a thermal camera) and searching and rescuing a person
- H5 – Working with spiral staircases and ladders, falling of a person and rescuing from a height
- H6 – Mine fire-technical equipment, rescue equipment and extinguishing agents
Group size 10 – 16 persons
The price of the course includes transportation in the mining area, lunch and coffee
